So there is a great book written by Pete Egosque called "Pain Free" and he has several exercises and movements that help to limit and correct pain. One of his sections in discussing walking is as follows,
"Movement helps the body to live. You stop moving, you slowly begin to die. Movement helps the body flush toxins out of the system, increase cell turn over, decrease peripheral artery resistance and increase glute activation."
So there you go, walking not just for those seniors hitting the mall!
